Our Commitment
Lucen (operated by Hot Ice Studio LLC) is dedicated to ensuring that our AI chat analyzer and relationship coaching platform are accessible to all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
We believe that understanding your relationships shouldn't be gatekept by disability. We are actively working to meet and exceed internationally recognized accessibility standards across our web app, iOS app, and Android app.
Conformance Status
Lucen aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
We are a growing product, and accessibility improvements are part of our ongoing development cycle. If you encounter any barrier, please tell us your feedback, as it directly shapes our priorities.
What We Support
We design Lucen with the following assistive technologies and user needs in mind:
- Scalable Text: Text can be resized using browser or system settings without breaking layouts.
- Keyboard Navigation: All core actions are reachable via keyboard with visible focus indicators.
- Screen Reader Support: Semantic HTML and ARIA labels help screen readers interpret our interface meaningfully.
- Descriptive Labels: Form inputs, buttons, and interactive elements include descriptive accessible labels.
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast ratios for legibility.
- Mobile Accessibility: iOS and Android apps support native platform accessibility features.
PDFs and Downloads
Lucen does not currently provide any PDF documents or downloadable files. If we introduce downloadable content in the future, we will ensure it is fully accessible before publishing.
Third-Party Services
Lucen integrates with a number of third-party services to deliver its features. While we strive to ensure an accessible experience throughout, some aspects of these services are outside our direct control:
- Apple App Store: Used to distribute the Lucen iOS app and process in-app subscriptions. Accessibility is governed by Apple's own standards.
- Google Play Store: Used to distribute the Lucen Android app and process in-app purchases. Accessibility is governed by Google's own standards.
We encourage users who encounter barriers within third-party interfaces to contact those providers directly, and we are happy to assist where we can.
Known Limitations
While we strive to be fully accessible, we are aware of areas still being improved:
- Screenshot and screen recording uploads: Uploaded images are not yet fully described to screen readers.
- AI-generated report charts: Some chart elements in the Lucen Report may not yet have sufficient text alternatives for non-visual users.
- Third-party integrations: App Store and Google Play interfaces are outside our direct control and are governed by Apple's and Google's own accessibility policies.
We aim to address these limitations in upcoming product releases. If any of these affect you, please reach out — we will work with you to find an alternative solution.
